“I'm alive. I didn't die of cervical cancer. Unfortunately, you can't say the same about the hundreds and thousands of women who have lost their lives to cervical cancer. It's not that I couldn't do anything, it's that I had no idea what to do about it. What I'm here to tell you is that unlike other cancers, cervical cancer is preventable. All you have to do is get tested and get the HPV vaccine,” she said.
